Short Story

An annoying boss, a bikini, and a fake illness.

I see him looking at me from the end of the hall, those snake eyes peering at me like I was pray."Don't worry he's a bit annoying but not grumpy" said the guy sitting next to me. The next day I don't see him anywhere, but I still think he's here and there he is still looking at me weirdly I go up to him and say "are you ok" then he just walks away like I didn't say anything. When I wake up in the morning I have a text message that the boss is sick, its my day off and its a lovely day with no clouds in the sky. I decide to go to the beach for a swim theres a free park right next to a car that looks like the bosses. I'm on my way down to the beach and I see the boss in a bright pink bikini lying on the sand.

Wonder

In class we are reading a book called Wonder, his name is August and he has something wrong with his face. All he wants is to be normal.

Term 2

What was my favourite moment in term 2?

We were at our first tech for the term, it was my favourite food tech. We mad some really delicious food like muffins and pizza bread. I liked it because you learnt a lot of food techniques so you didn't burn your food or burn the whole place down. On the final day of food tech we had to make our own food, my partner and I made feijoa muffins.

Science fair    

In term 2 we had science fair, we had to think of an experiment that we could test and put it into words. My science fair was Does fast paced music affect you running speed,  I tested that over a week and my results came threw that fast paced music does affect your running speed.  I didn't get a yellow sticker but I think that I did ok.  A lot of my class mates went threw and got a ribbon.

Maths in term 2

This term of maths, we had one of my favourite subjects Probability. We learnt about maths in words like even chance, impossible and certain. I had to study hard to get to where I am now, but I still want to go higher. Now were learning about Statistics and we are doing a post test today. I am  ready to learn.  

Cross country

On  Friday 27th we had cross country, we had been training every Monday and Thursday. The day it was happening we all felt nerves and anxious waiting for the gun too start.We ran our little hearts out and gave it our all  until we crossed the finish line. I came 161, it's pretty good for me. 

   

The boy with long hair

A boy named Lucan Batten at the age of 16 has gone to court because he refused to cut his hair, his school St John's College Hastings expelled him for ignoring there orders. They have a very strict rule that the hair of the boys can't touch the collar or cover the eyes, Lucan offed to tie it back into a ponytail but they still did not except the offer. The family went to wellington district court to stand up for there sone and they did, they one the battle but they were disappointed that they had to take it too high court and charge the school for so much money over a little matter. He started to get back to school the next week and was able too keep his hair style.
